Ok, last video of the week i promise but this was so very cute and funny that I thought everyone would get a good laugh out of it. You know, I’ve talked about how traumatizing it was for me to grow up as a gay guy from the south and my high school years were filled with torment and anxiety. I , and i’m sure many others with alternative lifestyles, often wonder how different our lives had been if we’d received acceptance and support from our peers at that crucial stage of everyone’s life. Well, one of the things I love about Thailand is the tolerance of differences exhibited by the Thais and you can see that even in a high school setting differences are sometimes appreciated and celebrated. Very often openly gay teens are accepted by their schoolmates, and here’s a good example I found over on the Youtube. It seems to be a talent show of some sort? Anyways, the music is from the Wondergirls that seems to be a sweeping hit all across Asia and its a very cute example of the gentle nature we appreciate in many of the Thai people…especially in light of recent events. Sooooo…have a watch and let me know what you think if the “Wonder Gays!”

Hey guys! Like i said in the podcast, I was on hand yesterday as the tanks rolled up in front of Siam Paragon in Bangkok only to be over run by an out of control mob of pro-Thaksin protesters. I think the most amazing thing about the whole event i witnessed was how passive the soliders were considering their vehicles were basically taken over by an angry mob. Don’t know if it shows strong restraint or inept weakness? Anyways, here are the videos in case you guys were curious!
