2009 Laker’s Win and Subsequent Riots

Rioting was alive and in full swing in downtown Los Angeles after the Lakers won the 2009 NBA Championship.

I am happy to see the Laker’s win but bewildered about the rioting that follows. I was working across the street from the Staple’s Center, (Lakers home court) during the first riots in 2000. Now, almost 9 years later the madly insane mob ruled crowd takes a celebratory event and turns it into a lawless civil chaos.
Pretty embarrassing for Los Angeles if you ask me.

I live about 3 miles northwest of downtown, so I feel pretty safe. Just wanted to let everyone know I am O.K.
